Alpha Pi History

The Alpha Pi Chapter of Zeta Beta Tau was established at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1927.  In the mid-1980s, the chapter closed due to dwindling numbers and the growing expense of the house on Finley Golf Course Road.  On March 5^th, 2006, thirteen men re-colonized ZBT at the UNC.  In two years, ZBT’s membership has grown to 27 active brothers, adding to the fraternity’s history that includes over 500 local alumni and over 110,000 alumni nationwide.
